Seasonal Home Edit: What I’m Loving This Spring

A NOTE FROM Heidi

Finally, spring is here. There’s something about this time of year that makes us all look at our spaces with fresh eyes. We feel creative and more open to inspiration or bringing in that new season energy.

With that in mind, I’ve curated a Seasonal Home Edit for Spring.

Think of it as a curated mix of pieces I’m loving; a visual guide to help spark some home inspiration for the season ahead. Whatever is catching my eye, from finishes and lighting, to colours and entertaining.

Hopefully there’s something in here that gives you an idea or two. Enjoy, and have a beautiful spring. Hx

things i’m loving this season

The 80s Glass Brick Comeback

They’re back! The great revival of the glass brick, and I’m here for it. I’ve been drawn to these beauties lately and am seeing some lovely textural, light-diffusing, and sculptural varieties. They work beautifully in spaces that need privacy without heaviness, or where light is the real design feature.

 Noted in:

  • Showers and wet areas

  • Internal screens or room dividers

  • Staircases and light wells

  • Any spot that needs softness and structure in equal measure

Soft Geometry in Lighting

I often find myself drawn to lighting that softly shapes a space. Something architectural, shape over embellishment: minimalist chandeliers, sculptural pendants, curved lamp bases. This style of lighting elevates a room without overpowering it.

 Noted in:

  • Vintage Murano-style pendants

  • Plaster wall sconces

  • Wavy ceramic or arched brass bases

  • Subtle mid-century nods

Earthy Greens

From pistachio to sage to olive, I’m really into green at the moment. Whether it’s work I’m doing with clients, clothing I’m buying or pieces I’m collecting for entertaining, there’s just generally a lot of green going on. I’m layering it through finishes, soft furnishings, ceramics, lighting.

 Noted in:

  • Table lamps, glazed ceramics, vintage plates

  • Cabinetry, bedding, textiles

  • Painted walls in soft sage and herbal hues

Tiles with Personality

Handmade, hand-painted, and full of texture, I’m really feeling the pull towards unique tiles. Slightly uneven edges, soft glaze variations, subtle detailing. Whether it's antique Delft corners or new hand-sculpted pieces, this Spring I’m leaning into tiles that tell a story. Ones that add age and character to newer spaces, and sit naturally in older ones.

Noted in:

  • Patterned or Delft tiles, ornamental corners, hand-painted florals.

  • Perfect for kitchen splashbacks, bathrooms, bar nooks, or anywhere you want to add interest and texture

All the Butter

Buttery, sun-washed and aged (not bright and in-your-face), I’m loving the citrus meets clay kind of tone. It brings softness without feeling sugary. It's less of a pop and more of a wash of warmth that sits beautifully alongside natural timbers or matte black accents, adding a real softness to any space.

 Noted in:

  • Kitchens, walls and window finishes

  • Soft furnishings, flowers, vintage ceramics, fashion

Outdoor Dining

After months of mostly being inside, it always feels like a bit of an exhale when outdoor entertaining kicks-off again. Garden lunches, spring birthdays (mine, and both of my kids) or long-table evenings, I’ve been looking at more coloured table settings lately. Textured tablecloths, green and yellow glazed plates, fresh cut flowers from the garden and sculptural cakes (loving the figs and florals moment, although overly ambitious for me). Generally, I always seem to opt for an elevated but relaxed approach to outdoor dining.

 Noted in:

  • Patterned, striped or textural tablecloths

  • Hand-thrown serveware

  • Simple botanical styling

  • Mismatched but cohesive details

A Handmade Layer

Woven, stitched, hand-formed, functional pieces with soul. I always love layering personality into a home, from rattan chairs to stitched lamp edges and imperfect crockery, this theme is all about the beauty of things made by hand. There’s nothing more dull to me than a space where everything is brand new; these kind of pieces bring in interest and uniqueness. Not just for this season, but for every season.

 Noted in:

  • Hand-painted tableware

  • Woven high-back chairs, vintage lighting

  • Stitched-edge shades, matte glazes

  • Textiles with visible construction or detail.

Cool Metals

Cool metals have been back in for a while now, and while I’ll always be a brass and gold devotee, this season I’m also being pulled towards cooler and cleaner metals. I’ve been working on a project recently and the client didn’t want to see any brass or bronze, so it was an opportunity to get really comfortable with nickel and chrome. These metals pair beautifully with natural materials like stone or timber, helping a space feel modern without being stark.

Noted in:

  • Tapware, lighting and candle holders

  • Hardware accents in kitchens and bathrooms

  • Vintage silver serveware and vases
